hl-palletline-3078-red.jpgBirmingham property consultants Harris Lamb have been instrumental in relocating Palletline to a £20 million investment central hub close to the M6 and M42 motorways in Solihull. The 230,000 sq ft specialist logistics facility is the industry’s first drive through, side load operation with the capacity to process in excess of 25,000 pallets in each 24 hour time window. Another industry first is a purpose built 30,000 sq ft quality control centre on the 15 acre plot at Birmingham International Park adjoining Birmingham International Airport. The facility was formerly occupied by Land Rover’s distribution operation.

Andy Lamb of Harris Lamb said: “Our brief was to acquire premises in a location which would provide Palletline with a canvas on which to design and deliver the highest standards in palletised distribution. The new central hub at International Park has created the environment in which to achieve that objective”.

The move has also brought Harris Lamb the instruction to market the former base of the palletised logistics specialist on Tyburn Road, Birmingham. The site close to Spaghetti Junction, junction six of the M6 motorway has already been the subject of a sale of 2.5 acres for the development of a Peugeot retail car sales centre. The marketing of the remaining 6 acres of freehold land will now begin in earnest.
