Combilift Ltd, the leading global manufacturer in the long-load handling sector has appointed a new Product Manager responsible for Scotland and Northern Ireland. Anthony Rooney will be adding support to current Combilift dealerships in these areas, where demand for the Combilift range of 4-way handling solutions continues to defy the current market situation.
Anthony has been with Combilift for almost eight years now. He moved from an initial role in the production of the trucks to a four year stint opening up new markets in the USA, before moving back closer to home to take on his current position.
“Sales in Scotland grew by over 100% last year, and I expect this to continue throughout 2009,” says Anthony. “The oil industry is a bouyant sector, and our larger trucks with up to 14 tonne capacities are particularly suited for offshore applications. In Northern Ireland I have identified increasing requirements for the Combilift range in manufacturing and engineering sectors. In general, customers appreciate the cost effectiveness of the 3-machines-in-1 Combilift system rather than operating a fleet of multiple types of forklifts.”
