cul_veh.jpgSince Culina Logistics and Baylis Logistics joined forces earlier this year under the Culina Logistics Limited name, the company’s move has been endorsed by a number of food and drink manufacturers. In the last few months the multi-temperature supply chain specialist has secured a major new contract and several existing customers have renewed or expanded their agreements. In the case of Delamere Dairy, the UK’s leading supplier of goats’ milk and related products, Culina has provided a chilled logistics solution for over five years and recently expanded the operation to include ambient UHT products.

For Delamere it made commercial sense to extend its relationship and integrate product storage and distribution under one logistics roof.
Liz Sutton, Joint Managing Director of Delamere Dairy, commented: “With the integration of operations, the company can now provide the perfect one-stop solution, which is a real advantage for our business and all our customers.”

At the end of March, Culina announced a major new contract with Cadbury Trebor Bassett to handle the radial supply chain for its chocolate and confectionery brands.

Ralph Moore, National Transport Manager at Cadbury Trebor Bassett, said: “At Cadbury we produce some of the UK’s leading sweet brands and it is important that we have a reliable, high-quality supply chain that is also flexible and cost effective.”

And in the last month, Sweet Port S.A., Europe’s leading supplier of branded and private label chilled Italian desserts for supermarket retailers, renewed its supply chain contract with Culina for a further two years.

Culina has also opened a major new chilled distribution centre at Haverhill on August 4th as part of its ongoing expansion plans and commitment to food and drink manufacturers.
