After three remarkably successful years in charge of Mitsubishi Forklift Trucks UK, General Manager Terry Foreman has decided the time is right to retire. He is delighted to be handing over the job of leading the next phase of acceleration to a worthy successor, Mike Jones, whose abilities have already been demonstrated in his role as a Regional Manager with the company. Established in 2005, and showing rapid year-on-year growth and development, Mitsubishi Forklift Trucks UK has been another milestone in Terry Foreman’s long and distinguished career. In fact, even before joining Mitsubishi he had received a rarely bestowed Lifetime Achievement Award from the Fork Lift Truck Association.
By comparison, Mike Jones is a relative newcomer to the industry – but nevertheless he brings with him more than 20 years of experience and success in a variety of positions. This has included spells as a Salesman with BT Rolatruc, Regional Manager with Lex Industrial Machinery (Daewoo brand) and National Sales Manager with Daewoo Machinery. His association with Mitsubishi dates back to 2002, when he joined Hamech – which was at that time the UK distributor for Mitsubishi – as National Sales Manager. Since 2005 he has been Regional Manager for the northern half of the UK.
“Filling Terry’s shoes won’t be easy,” says Mike, “but I’m very much looking forward to the challenge. Under Terry’s stewardship the company has more than delivered on its growth plans, year after year. The UK dealer network is well established and well respected, but with the right development and support I know we can make it even stronger.”
