cul_feel.jpgLeading multi-temperature supply chain specialist, Culina Logistics, has secured a new two-year warehousing and distribution contract with fast expanding Feel Good Drinks.  Feel Good Drinks’ core range is a variety of high-quality, healthy, ambient juice drink products, bottled under contract at Thomas Hardy Breweries’ Kendal plant. Culina is responsible for the collection of stock from the Feel Good production facility, warehousing at its Warrington distribution centre and shared-user outbound supply chain services throughout the UK and Ireland.

Carrying a stock holding of up to 2,000 pallets and picking from a product range of 40 different SKUs (stock keeping units), Culina delivers to leading supermarket multiples such as Tesco, Asda and Sainsbury’s, as well as Boots, Superdrug, Palmer & Harvey, Wilkinsons and Brakes.

It is expected that over one million cases of Feel Good branded soft drinks will be despatched in the first year of the contract, which operates 24-hours a day, six-days a week.

Culina also provides Feel Good management with secure online order tracking, including on target in full (OTIF) and proof of delivery (POD) data. A full range of value added rework services are available to support retailer promotions.

Dan Woolley, operations manager at Feel Good Drinks, says that Culina was appointed due to its leading IT systems and known high-quality service.

He said: “Moving to Culina has taken our warehousing and distribution operations to a new level. The enhanced capabilities of Culina’s real-time information systems are invaluable in terms of managing our operations and customer service.

‘In addition, the synergies we’re seeing from the integration of Culina’s ambient and chilled networks has brought some real benefits, particularly in the area of primary (inbound) transport.

“The team at Culina – from shop floor to director level – has taken a very hands-on approach with Feel Good, showing a genuine enthusiasm for the product, the brand, the company and our people. It’s been a very positive move for us and we look forward to developing alongside Culina as they go from strength to strength.”

With a strong business development program, Feel Good has entered this year’s Times newspaper 100 Fastest Growing Companies and its objective is to grow a further 40% in the next 12 months.
