bentonbros.jpgThe Benton Bros. Group has taken delivery of two new Renault Premium 450s, with another three to come in September, through Renault Trucks Distributor, Thompson Commercials. In an important conquest deal, they are the first ever Renaults to join the Lincolnshire based company’s 150-strong fleet in 100 years. They are also the first of Benton’s trucks to move away from tradition with a new look company livery. The trucks will be used to undertake general haulage within the BB group, under the name Benton Logistics, with regular transport within the UK and Europe.

Martin Benton, Chairman, Benton Bros. says: “We have been looking to add more variety of trucks to our fleet and were impressed by the fuel efficiency of the new Renault Premiums. We are also pleased with the convenience of the Renault Trucks dealer network, which means that both of our depots can enjoy full support at all times. We are celebrating our centenary year this year and, as the company moves into a new era, the Renault Premiums have been given a striking new livery to reflect a more modern, fresh thinking approach to our business.”

Founded in 1908 by John William Benton, Benton Bros. Transport was incorporated in 1954 by his three sons. Based in Lincolnshire, this family company has maintained a continuous rate of growth, with the purchase of a 25 acre site in Boston in 1968 and a second depot in Immingham in 2002. Today, Benton Bros. employs over 160 personnel across its two sites and has a fleet of 150 6×2 tractor units and 250 trailers.
