alan-blacklockcut.jpgUnderlining its reputation as the UK’s premier attachment service provider to the materials handling industry, B&B Attachments has appointed Alan Blacklock to the position of Service Manager. Originally in the construction industry, Alan was involved in numerous major projects including the building of the Channel Tunnel. He transferred his experience and skills to the forklift truck industry when he joined Finning as Service Manager, a position he held for 13 years. Further materials handling experience was gained working as a service engineer with Linde.

As Service Manager, Alan will be responsible for overseeing the service department and its 13 members of staff. In addition to managing the division on a day-to-day basis he will be engaged in looking for greater efficiencies in every sector of the department including processes and systems. He will supervise service contracts and warranties and liaise with customers on technical issues. His appointment will provide B&B customers with improved customer care and response times.

Away from B&B Attachments, Alan can be found at the local squash club where he has been a first team member since 1982. A keen sportsman, Alan enjoys mountain biking and follows his home football team, Newcastle United.
