bk-passport.jpgWhat’s the most exciting thing about your job?
I really enjoy the chance to give company presentations to new customers. It’s a good opportunity to show my enthusiasm for the industry.

What time do you get to work, and how long do you work each day?
If I’m in the office I try to get in for about 7.30, but I spend a lot of time traveling so my working day varies hugely.

If you were an item in a warehouse, what would you be?
I’d be a boom conveyor, obviously! Rugged, reliable, useful, you get the idea?

If you had to do it all over again, what would you do different?
I’d have concentrated harder in mechanics lectures at uni. Now, where did I leave that book of formulas??

What’s the most embarrassing thing that’s ever happened to you at work?
I may or may not have hit the factory roof with a fork lift truck once.

What would be your advice to someone thinking about coming into the industry (apart from “don’t do it”)?
Be as straight as you can with everyone you meet. Gone are the days when you could blag your way to a sale, whatever industry you’re in. People seem to appreciate honesty.

Who or what makes you laugh?
People falling over. And Simon Pegg films.

Do you have any hidden talents?
Not really. Whenever I’m any good at anything, I tend to make quite a big deal out of it.

Who would be your favourite party guest?
Hmmm? The Dalai Lama if I was in a sensible mood; Dave Grohl if I wasn’t.

What is the greatest luxury in your life?
The new GSXR motorbike I bought this year. I’d sell kidneys before I got rid of it.

What was your favourite hospitality jolly?
To be honest, I don’t seem to get offers of jollies. Maybe people don’t really like me that much.

What’s your dream holiday destination?
Trekking through the Himalayas to Bhutan. I like visiting countries where the culture is different to our own in some way and Bhutan would be top of the list.

What are your three favourite movies of all time?
3. Twelve Angry Men 2. A Night at the Roxbury 1. Rocky III

What’s your favourite pastime?
It’s a close call between riding my bike and surfing. Erm, riding my bike to the beach and then surfing I guess.

If you won the Lottery, what would you do?
Travel around the world with my surfboard.
