Culina_J_Preston.jpgCulina Logistics, the multi-temperature food and drink supply chain specialist, has appointed James Preston as a supply chain development manager. The appointment follows the continued expansion of the chilled and ambient operations and will help drive forward development projects to provide improved quality of service to new and existing customers.
Based at Culina’s Wolverhampton distribution centre, James will be responsible for developing the current impressive customer base at the site including Ferrero UK, General Mills, Red Mill and Discovery Foods.

“Improving operational efficiencies will be my first port of call by ensuring business reviews are regularly conducted and results correctly implemented,” said James.

“These reviews will monitor performance targets and make sure that all of Culina’s customers are reaping the benefits of a multi-temperature shared-user operation with service levels maximised.”

Employed within Culina’s ambient operation since 2003, James has accumulated a wealth of operational experience during his career at the company that will hold him in good stead for this new key role.

Commenting on the appointment, Culina sales and marketing director, Dale Fiddy, said: “With his previous experience in the company, James will be actively involved in moving Culina into the next phase of our integrated development plan and drive customer service improvements.”

In his spare time James enjoys spending time with his family, including his first child who was born in April 2007, and has recently resumed his interest in golf.
